WATER, WATER !!!
The BBC Radio 1, today reported that in the "old folks" homes in Britain, 2 people die every day from starvation and dehydration, ie lack of food and lack of water. The doctors, who have been "worried" about the "lack of access" to water for these unfortunate old people, have now started to "prescribe" water. What a wonderful idea ! This means that the "carers", nurses and other auxiliary attendants are now, by law, obliged "to provide water". Of course the unions may go all "health and safety" and see this as "bullying" the carers. The unions will probably blow a fuse if the doctors, "heaven forbid", start prescribing food ! When I woke up this morning, still half sleepy and heard this horror on the radio, I wasn't quite sure which century they were talking about. This is "The year of Our Lord" 2012, for God's sake. I'm no longer sure what kind of a world we live in.Oh, by the way, my dogs get a fresh change of drinking water three or four times a day plus food. Why can't we treat our old people like dogs. Wouldn't it be a better world ?
The poor of Britain are now being evicted from their homes to more "affordable" accommodation. This is in the wake of substantial cuts by the British alliance government. These cuts came about because the government ( not the only government ) was forced to use the taxpayers money to bolster (bail out) an inefficient and corrupt banking system. The banks are, astonishingly, still awarding their executives for non- performance. When are the peoples of our modern democracies going to wake up to these obscenities? And how will they react?
The "Occupy" groups are certainly making their presence felt. A court order in London gave the police permission to "move" from the precincts of St. Pauls cathedral. Similar orders have been made in the US. The Occupy groups will not just "go away". They're to stay and as long as they are around our governments are getting more jittery and are not sure how to handle the situation in a democratic way
